How does Reiki work on stress symptoms?

Instead of headaches and angry outbursts, Reiki may potentially help you enjoy:

  • A boost to your body’s healing mechanisms, which once again begin to function effectively
  • Potentially reduced blood pressure, heart rate, and stress hormones from the relaxation response
  • Increased immune system strength
  • Shifting from the stress response of “fight or flight” to the relaxation response
  • Restoration of balance to your body, mind, and soul

Reiki energies have a high and healthy frequency and potency. Reiki masters and practitioners must undergo an energetic adjustment process to effectively work with the Reiki energies. You can use Reiki on its own for enhanced wellness or in conjunction with traditional medicine anytime your body, mind, and soul needs a powerful, beautiful boost.

What is Reiki?

Reiki is:

  • A subtle and effective form of energy healing using spiritually guided life force energy (Rei-ki)
  • Practiced in every country of the world
  • Being used in many settings including hospitals, hospice, as well as in private practice and in self-care (click here to read more about Reiki in Hospitals)
  • A wonderful complementary modality in a personal wellness or healing program

Reiki is not:

  • Affiliated with any particular religion or religious practice
  • a form of massage
  • New. Reiki energy itself is thousands of years old and is practiced around the world.

How Does Reiki Work?

Your body is an amazing machine. Not only does it automatically take care of all your breathing, circulation, digestion and other vital processes without you even lifting a finger, but it has the phenomenal ability to bounce back and heal itself when faced with certain amounts of stress.

Most of the time, at least.

There may come a time in your life when your body has simply had enough. Perhaps you’ve been subjected to a constant barrage of ongoing stress, experienced a particularly sudden and intensely stressful situation or have come to accept negative beliefs and thoughts that are bogging down your entire being. In such cases, the body’s self-regulating mechanisms can no longer do their jobs, resulting in a decline in the health of your body, mind, and soul.

You may become irritated or angry and prone to outbursts; suffer from headaches, stomach aches, muscle tension, and pain; feel anxious, restless and depressed; or even start overeating, under-eating or reaching for alcohol or drugs for relief.
